WHAT ARE THE SATA air tickets?
The SATA Travel air tickets are meant for the young from 12 to 26 years of age, students up to 30 years of age, and professors. The proof that you are a student is the possession of the ISIC card, and for professors the ITIC card. In addition to air tickets, the ISIC and ITIC cards also provide a great number of discounts in over 100 countries of the world. For all other, these are EURO<26 cards. The Travel air tickets are valid one year (effective from the departure date). Also, in majority of cases, a one-way ticket is 50% of the return ticket price.
What is the difference between the SATA tickets and common air tickets?
Except that they are more favorable, there are no other differences regarding traveling. The same lines, same aircrafts, same seats. The SATA Travel uses special contracts with airlines which enable them to obtain special prices for certain number of seats on planes. Can you buy the SATA Travel tickets in any agency?
No! Since this is a matter of separate contracts and special selling conditions, the SATA Travel air tickets may be bought only in agencies specialized for selling them (marked near each of the airlines).
When and how to book an air ticket?
It is necessary to make booking 3 to 6 months in advance! In such way you will ensure to have the tickets at the most favorable price and book your seat on time. Booking may be made through e-mail, by phone or personally.
May I combine destination and place of stay?
Yes. You can, for example, fly to Madrid and return from Barcelona without change in price. Or, fly to Paris, stay there two days, travel by train to London (Eurostar) and return by plane from London.
When to buy a ticket?
We suggest you to buy a ticket latest 14 days prior your trip. Of course, exemptions are always possible (on the date of travel, etc.), but are not advisable.
How much do you pay for cancellation?
Cancellation is not payable.
How can I change the return date?
The return date may be changed in any STA Travel office in the world (and there are over 3,500 of them). Change of date amounts to 25 USD at maximum. The STA Travel offices may be found on the web address: www.statravelgroup.com/travelhelp.
What if I loose my ticket or if it is stolen from me?
In case you loose your ticket, you go to the nearest STA Travel office (to be found on Internet www.statravelgroup.com/travelhelp) where you will get a new ticket. In case your ticket is stolen, it is good to have an acknowledgment from the police that the stealing was reported in the country in which it took place.
What if I do not use a part of the ticket?
In case a part of your ticket has not been used (for example, if you returned by bus, while you had a return ticket), that part can be refunded in full (less air charges).
